Gaylaxicon is a national, volunteer-led convention for LGBTQ+ people, their allies, and friends. It is focused on fandoms including science fiction, fantasy, horror, comics, tabletop RPGs, board games, and video games. The convention is organized by the people who have hosted the previous Gaylaxicons in Minneapolis, as well as the local ConFABulous LGBTQ+ gaming relaxicons in 2017 and 2018.

A large gaming room will be in operation throughout the convention. Expect it to be busy, all day and night! A huge number of board games will be available for people to play. We will also have a dedicated play space for tabletop roleplaying games, and a schedule for those games.

Gaylaxicon will have multiple tracks of programming with panels running Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Anyone who plans to attend the convention can propose a panel idea. Send your suggestions to programming@gaylaxicon.org.

Panels at recent Gaylaxicons and ConFABulous conventions include:

  • Talk About the Game, Then Play It: panel(s) to talk about cool tabletop board games and RPGs, and then play it with someone who knows the game in one of our gaming or programming spaces
  • Yaoi/Yuri Manga
  • The New Who: It’s About Time Lady/Lord!
  • Star Trek Discovery
  • Ask A GM Panel
  • Marvel/DC comics and movies (Black Panther, Infinity War, etc.)
  • North County Gaylaxians: SF&F and Horror We’ve Read in 2018
  • LGBTQ+ in Representations in the Media We Love
  • Queer Mysteries and Detectives
  • Slash Panel

We will publish our full schedule closer to the convention.
